Saya cuma buat karangan je.. Bukan opinion betul2.

In Malaysia, women’s participation in the workforce, though low, has increased from 44.7 per cent in 1995 to 47.3 per cent in 2004(Women’s participation in the workplace, 2005). The increasing of their participation in the workforce cannot be halted because, it actually in line with the growth of their population. It is been said that women can do anything that men can. This issue of  women involving into the workforce is actually continues to be debated. The impacts of this occurrence have its boons and banes. Participation of women in the workforce can affect family institution adversely, high infertility  and difficulty in the work organization.
Participation of women in the workforce can affect family institution adversely. In this era, people got so worked out for working 24 hours a day and 7 days a week. When women which are the backbone of a family are out to work six to eight hours per day, they will be exhausted and too tired to have the quality time with their family. It is not deniable that women involving in the labor force can improve their life standard, and many of them have achieved that standard that they dream for. However, take a look at their family and the majority of them have a fractured family bond. Their spouse and children’s need got neglected and the bond between husband and wife, a mother and the child are cracked.  Children need the most of parents attention and love through their childhood and as teenager. Lack of a mother’s love making them to search for alternatives to get their parents attention for some cares or to fill their emptiness.
The involvement of women as the workforce can lead them to high infertility. Their satisfactory to find the comfortable in life standards make them to postpone marriage and stay single past their fertility phase. Usually women who are really committed to their career even feel that they do not need men to support their life, thus, forgetting to get married and build a family. This will result in the declining of society population and will cause a country to lack of labor force in the future. Malaysian women are experiencing a decrease of fertility level every year and the fertility of women in the group age of fifteen and forty-nine year declined rapidly, and this can affect the population in our country in the future, translated from Utusan Online, Malaysia Women’s Fertility Rate Is Expected to Decline. Women can lift their position in the society when participating in the workforce, but by doing so they are going to sacrifice their own self-need to have their offspring. Maybe they will be admired for their position and wealth, but that will not guarantee a person happiness. Eventhough money is important, but a person will feel very lonely and miserable if he or she does not have someone to share and spend good time together.
Women participating in the workforce can cause difficulty in the work organization. Women workers have many difficulties to be paid attention. Usually in some occasion or in some condition that they are going through will cause them to have a low production and contribution to the organization which they work for. Some of the women have serious period cramp or morning sickness and that will halt their production for a while because they will have a leave for it. Maternity leave will affect an organization because for about two months the company will lost an employee that is good at that certain position and  this going to slower the company’s production when a new employee will need to be trained for that position. Women are diligent workers, but these temporary complications lead to unstable organization production from time to time.

In a nutshell, women participation in the workforce is not highly supported. Participation of women in the workforce can affect family institution adversely, high infertility  and difficulty in the work organization. Women should not interfere with the working world when men can handle it.

Roomates

Assalamua'laikum.

(Tajuk je english, postnya in Malay. ihii..Campur2lah juga.)

Apa yg penting?? Kerjasama--Wonderpets. Iya, betullah kerjasama memang penting. Ada lagi perkara lain yg sama penting, and that is respect for each other. Sikap saling hormat-menghormati tidak kurang pentingnya dalam kalangan masyarakat masa kini.

Contoh simple lah ye saya beri, rakan sebilik/serumah.

1. Nak tidur
Dah tahu kawan baru sahaja mahu lelapkan mata, kita berilah dia suasana yg aman dalam bilik. Maksudnya, kita peka. Janganlah waktu itu jugalah baru kita nak start conversation dengan other roomates/cakap kat telefon/buka lagu rock/menyanyi(walaupun suara anda sedap, merdu, lunak).

2. Time kurang sihat
For example, jangan buat bising dalam bilik/rumah. Biarkan kawan tu rehat, jangan tetiba pula nak buat a serious conversation dengan dia. Nak minta ajar atau nak tegur kesalahan ke apa, tunggu kawan sembuh dahulu.

3. Barang-barangan
It is important for us to respect other people belonging. Minta izinlah apabila hendak menggunakan barang kawan. Ianya sangat simple punya amalan, tapi amat bermakna. It means you still respect him or her.
Bila beg kawan block kita punya pintu almari, it does not hurt to lift and put it neatly at the right spot. Janganlah main sepak guna kaki tu je. It is very rude! Lebih2 lagi jika kita buat tu depan kawan kita. Itu memang tandanya kita tak hormat dia langsunglah.

Akhir kata, hormatilah orang lain jika mahu diri dihormati. Kita ini sesama manusia, jadi bersikaplah seperti manusia yang bertamadun dan berakhlak tinggi.

Cheers! :)

Factors of Discrimination and Its Effect

Assalamua'laikum. Watashi wa...(sambung ayat kat bawahh sekali)

Discrimination happens when you or someone else treat someone unfairly(A and NJ, n.d). There are a few kinds of discrimination in our society such as, job discrimination. Discrimination usually happens from racism, gender or religious reasons. It is such a ghastly attitude towards human being that have their own heart and feelings. Every each one of human beings wants to feel the acceptance and be loved. Treating people unfairly just because of their race, gender and religion will deny their rights. This deviant come from many causes and leads to terrible effects in the society. The causes of racial, sexual and religious discrimination are arrogant for their background, ambiguous about human rights, and close minded.

The society consist of various backgrounds either they are from the high caste family, female and male gender, or beliefs. Some people can be really arrogant because of their background and that drive them to discriminate someone who are not up to their level. As for example, the Malays mistreat the Indians because the Malays think that they are smarter and more fair than Indians. A person who thinks he is better than anyone else is annoying and what more to discriminate people based solely on his judgement. “Discrimination is a hellhound that gnaws on Negroes in every waking moment of their lives to remind them that the lie of their inferiority is accepted as truth in the society dominating them”, Martin Luther King, Jr.(BrainyQuote.com. n.d.). Having such a heart can make the discrimination crisis persistent in the society.

Being ambiguous about human rights in this decade also leads to the discrimination in the society. Some people needs to be clarified of certain things, so that they will not break the boundaries. It is stated in Article 14: Prohibition of discrimination-The enjoyment of the rights and freedoms set forth in the European Convention on Human Rights and the Human Rights Act shall be secured without discrimination on any ground such as sex, race, colour, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, association with a national minority, property, birth or other status,(retrieved from http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/human-rights/what-are-human-rights/the-human-rights-act/protection-from-discrimination/, n.d.). It was clearly stated that there shall not be any discrimination on any ground of race, sex and religion. Citizen who are not aware of this particular act will show flippancy and discriminate whoever they want without feeling guilty. Moreover, the lack of stringent measures in the society environment makes the discrimination spreads around the community. This vagueness causes the perpetrators to be bold when discriminating and even more entrenched in the indirect discrimination. As for example of an indirect discrimination, a company wants to give a job promotion, but the person who wants that promotion must be able to drink alcohol because he or she needs to entertain the customers at night clubs. Ali is a Muslim and therefore he cannot drink alcohol and that also means he cannot apply for the job promotion.

Another cause that contribute to discrimination is closed-minded individuals that can never accept anything else accept for their beliefs. There are vast group of people that keep their mind closed when they meet people that having a different belief as them. Muslims had a hard time when the September 11th Attacks is overwhelming throughout the United States. Allegedly four Muslims terrorists launched an attack towards the North and South towers that caused both of the towers collapsed within two hours. After that statement was out, the majority of the Americans were discriminating the Muslims. They do not open any job vacancy for Muslims and banned them from anything that they can. The Americans who discriminate Muslims did not think critically. It is affirmative that Muslims have the same religion as the terrorists that allegedly launched the attack, but it does not mean that all Muslims are terrorists or have the same intention to terrorize the United States. The sex discrimination is usually experienced by the females. Women are always been considered as weak. Females discrimination are happening broadly in India. In India men are assumed as family protector and women as a liability to the parents. The parents in India are depending on their son to take care of them, so it is a privilege to have sons. On the other hand, parents in India rather do an abortion or feticide from having baby girl. This is because, when the time has come to marry off the daughter, parents need to borne the wedding and prepare the dowry. There, women opportunities to have education and job are limited.

Discrimination in race, sex and gender will definitely effects the harmony in the society negatively. The harmony and serenity of the society can be jeopardized when there is injustice in it. Discrimination will encourage disunity and from that factionalism will exist. Living in an environment that dispute one and another, making the society becomes less productive, as cooperation among the community will create and produce a better product for everyone. The reciprocal of underestimating and intimidating causing stress to everyone who involved. When there is no consensus among the society, the country will slowly fall apart and confronts turmoil.

In conclusion, indeed the discrimination is caused by arrogant for people background, ambiguous about human rights, and closed-minded. Discrimination should not be happening in a society. Individuals should avoid making vain judgements that can cause the negativity thoughts roaming around the mind. Keep the mind open and be positive towards people will prevent a person to be racist or discriminative in other perspective. Bear in mind that nobody is perfect and accepting each other differences and completing each other weaknesses is a win win situation and this will promotes the unity of the country.
